Thousands of Christian music fans are expected in Willmar this week for the 28th annual Sonshine Festival.
The four-day event opens tonight with a free concert by Switchfoot, with free parking and camping.
Tickets are required for performances Thursday, Friday and Saturday, but the ticket price includes parking and camping.
More than 100 bands are scheduled to perform on five stages. Newsboys, Thousand Foot Krutch, Skillet and Relient K are among the scheduled performers.
All but one of the stages are outdoors on the grounds of the Willmar Civic Center.
Festival director Bob Poe says the first Sonshine drew 1,800 people in 1982. The festival has since grown to attract 20,000 or more.
