Wow, that's a fun topic, Terry! Very Happy

Let's see....

Top 3 favorite actors:

1. Tom Hanks (especially Saving Private Ryan, Forrest Gump, Apollo 13, Castaway)
2. Harrison Ford (especially the Raiders movies, Frisco Kid, Witness)
3. Hugh Laurie (From Blackadder to House... the best actor on TV right now)
Honorable Mention:
Aaron Eckhart (a great up-and comer, esp. In the Company of Men and Thank You For Smoking)
Morgan Freeman (nearly everything he's in, but especially Shawshank Redemption, the Alex Cross movies, Lean On Me)

Top 3 favorite actresses:
1. Reese Witherspoon (Who else can go from Legally Blonde to Walk the Line so seemlessly?)
2. Kate Winslett (Titanic made her... Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is a personal fave)
3. Sandra Bullock (Speed, While You Were Sleeping, Miss Congeniality... sorry, just love her)
Honorable Mention:
Rachel Weisz (The Mummy, The Shape of Things, Runaway Jury, The Fountain)
Nicole Kidman (Dead Calm, To Die For, The Others, Birthday Girl, Bewitched)

Only 3???!!! I can't pick just 3.

I like almost NO ONE who is currently on the silver screen. I'm really a snob about movies and TV.

But my favorites are...

John Candy (all-time fave--miss him!)

Ricky Gervais (star of the UK tv show, The Office - creator of USA version)

Toni Collette (Muriel's Wedding, In Her Shoes)

John Krasinksi- "Jim" on The Office (my current huge crush)

Parker Posey (perhaps best known for her recent appearances in the Blade movies, and her stupid stoner character on Scream 3, but she is the original INDIE film queen...loved her in Party Girl and in all the Christopher Guest movies like Best in Show, Waiting for Guffman - John Candy would be in these films, were he alive today)

Jason Bateman

Renee Zellweger

Emma Thompson

Meryl Streep - Come ON. Duh.

William H. Macy

Matthew Perry - His miserable characters make him funny and cute, to me

Bonnie Hunt

Jeff Bridges

Doris Roberts (mom in Everybody Loves
Raymond, many movie roles)

America Ferrera ("Betty" in Ugly Betty)

Shirley MacClaine - Still great after all these years!

Colin Firth (SWOOOOON!)

Jerry Stiller (The King of Queens, Seinfeld)

the late, would-be great, Adrienne Shelley

Darrel Hammond

No, I haven't. But I'd probably like it. What's it about?

Toni Collette and this Japanese guy took a trip through the desert and a series of events that happened along the way. The movie was directed by a female director. Besides great acting, great directing and great cinematography, the music is beautiful too.

Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman in Shawshank Redemption, one of my all-time favorites.

Charlize Theron is my favorite actress. She was great in North Country.
