A gym teacher for the St. Paul Public Schools is accused of stealing a computer from a high school last September.
Burton Marshall Selback, 54, of St. Anthony, was charged Friday in Ramsey County District Court with felony counts of theft and receiving stolen property.
According to the complaint, officials at Gordon Parks High School contacted St. Paul police on Sept. 15 to report a laptop, worth more than $1,200, had been stolen from a classroom.
A software company was able to track the computer to Selback, who had worked at Gordon Parks, the complaint said. On Oct. 18, his employee number was used to log into the school human resources department on the stolen computer.
