During a recent kitchen remodel, I was advised by both my drywall installer and Home Depot to use this paint as primer. It is specially formulated to cover stains and spots in existing walls and ceilings. Not much point to spending hours painting something, only to see old stains and marks bleed through your work. Highly recommended!
