Richfield is accepting applications for Police Cadet. Cadets will receive a full scholarship to obtain the college courses necessary to qualify for a peace officer position. Cadets are expected to attend school full time and will work approx. 20 hrs/wk in a uniformed paraprofessional position at the Richfield PD. No previous police exp. required. Starting salary $15.70/Hr. Cadet will be given an immediate conditional promotional offer to become a Richfield Police Officer as soon as the Cadet becomes eligible for police licensure, meets normal hiring standards and position becomes open within the dept. Candidate must have fluency speaking, reading & writing a second non-English language, Spanish preferred.
