Swedish golfer Annika Sorenstam, one of the most dominating atheletes of the past century, announced that she will retire from the LPGA tour at the end of 2008. Sorenstam has been the most powerful force in women's golf until recent years, bringing a Tiger Woods like string of victories to headline the tour in her prime.
