Weary of a constantly trickling toilet tank, I took a leap of faith the other day and decided to try out this fill valve in my toilet. Actually installing the tank hardware for flushing a toilet is a fairly clean and simple job. I didn't understand how it works, but I decided to try it anyway.
Went in nicely in about 15 minutes. It eliminates the bulky old style with the floating ball that lifts with the water level and shuts off the water to the tank, and replaces it with a very compact unit that sits underwater and is about 6" x 6" x 3".
Works great, and adjusts the level of the water in the tank with a simple turn of the adjustment screw.
The unit is made by Fillpro, a division of Bath Unlimited, Model FV85A. I bought mine at Menards for about $9.00.
