My bike was stolen on Friday night at 6th and Hennepin while I was rehearsing downtown. I'm really devastated by it. I loved that bike. It was a gift from my dad for my bday last year, and it's been my main mode of transportation to and from work and rehearsal. I can't afford to replace it.

What is wrong with people who steal things? I've also had my bag stolen in Amsterdam, which contained my passport, money, journal, glasses, camera....ouch. And my car was recently broken into here in Mpls and my cd player and cd's (and my boyfriend's cd's) all stolen. It makes you feel so helpless and violated.

I've had my sense of security stolen from me...I think we all remember that post.

A little weasel that my daughter met at a party this summer stole my car. Thricette loaned him the keys to go to the store, and he never came back. The car turned up in Faribault, looted, and being driven by someone else.

He's still out there. It took extraordinary restraint on my part not to go look him up myself and have a "chat" with him in some isolated swampy area.
