Bayport City Administrator Mike McGuire is appealing an order to repay the state pension fund $112,000. McGuire was required by law to remain out of public service for at least 30 days after retiring, but retired and immediately returned to his old job as a private contractor while still receiving his pension. He has appealed the ruling to the State Supreme Court of Minnesota.
