ST. PAUL, Minn.—If you have a library card at St. Paul Public Library, you've got free admission to sample the Twin Cities arts scene.
Each library cardholder can get up to four free tickets to Sample Night Live at the History Theatre in St. Paul. Normally those tickets are worth $20 each.
The History Theatre hosts a dozen 10-minute "trial-size samples" of upcoming arts events the first Wednesday of every month. Library patrons can sample everything from dance and stand-up comedy to poetry slammers and local bands.
The first part of the evening is rated G while the second half is unrated.
Library patrons can reserve free tickets online. The next Sample Night Live is Wednesday, Sept. 2.
The promotion ends Nov. 30.
