Twins radio broadcaster John Gordon plans to make his 25th season with the team the final "Touch 'Em All."
"It's time," Gordon, 70, said while speaking to a men's group at Community Congregational Church in North Naples, Fla., on Tuesday, according to the Naples Daily News. "I've had a wonderful career, but it's time for me to move on to another phase of my life."
Gordon's schedule already had been reduced from 150 games last season to 90 in 2011. Two voices familiar to Twins fans, Ted Robinson and Bob Kurtz, are returning to do 25 games apiece. Kris Atteberry will have an expanded role, and Dan Gladden and Jack Morris will continue in their previous roles.
Hate to see him go. John was always a positive and comforting presence at every Twins broadcast, and a consummate professional.
