Koren Robinson pleads innocent

Post by Modern_Day_Cowboy » Tue Oct 17, 2006 6:29 pm

AP reports that Green Bay Packers - and former Vikings - wide receiver/kick returner Koren Robinson plead innocent to DWI and reckless driving charges stemming from an incident last month in St. Peter, Minn.

I'm not a lawyer, but when a cop pulls you over for doing 100+ in a 55 when you blow a .11, odds of your exoneration aren't the best...

Any thoughts as to what his defense will be?

Insanity, maybe? He has been suspended by NFL for a year. That is a lot of money going down the drain - only for a few beers.

No, he's suspended as of yesterday, and can come off suspension Sept. 18 - less than 11 months. So at least the NFL sticks to its "strictly enforced" substance abuse policies. Basically, you can drive drunk several times, but you better not celebrate a touchdown with another teammate in a manner that displeases the commissioner!

Don't forget, he fled the police--an automatic felony in MN.

If insanity doesn't work, he and his lawyer can try the racial card. It works every time. It got to be a white cop going after an innocent black guy driving a luxuary car.
