I've always been of the inclination that with a few notable exceptions we typically rely on take-out/restaurants to get our Indian fix. After finding this recipe, chana masala looks ridiculously easy to make so we're thinking of trying it. Have you attempted cooking Indian at home? Any other recipes that can be whipped up in a hurry? Have you had previous mixed success with other types of ethnic fare? (Afghani, Mediterranean, Chinese, etc.)
Or do you think "tumeric" is something you have to have a cosmetic surgeon removed from your body.
