Very interesting. I wonder how many of these diagnoses came from school health authorities. In a major urban core district I'm privy to, damn near every kid the teachers discuss is considered to suffer from some kind of disorder, from ADHD to autism to oppositional personality to "you name it". There's either some kind of incredibly pervasive environmental issue going on, or these "experts" are simply using the medical model to explain (and get extra cash influxes to districts for) the behavior of feral kids who have the uncontrollable urge to go berserk in their classrooms, assault their teachers and fellow students, and ignore their school work.
That's the beauty of illness. When you're sick, it's nobody's fault.
