It's seed-ordering time! What are you gathering to plant in your garden this year?

Dirt. I don't have a spot for a garden. :( Renting a really nice house with a really nice yard in Robbinsdale. The back yard unfortunately has a spot that would be great for a garden, but the owners decided to cover it with wood chips instead.

Edit:
Though if I had a garden. Hops. :)

Wood chips can be moved. Sounds like you've got yourself a hops garden!

Good article about aquaponics in the NYT recently

I'm thinking about trying a small set-up in my kitchen window, raising (hopefully) cherry tomatoes and using an old aquarium as the bottom basin. I want to raise some polywogs into frogs for fishing this year, so they'd be the fertilizer suppliers. Instead of a pump, I think I can just use an empty milk jug to transfer the enriched water from bottom basin to top and let it trickle out.
