The Worst

Post by thrice » Sun Jul 11, 2010 8:30 am

I love my Netflix subscription, and get great bang for the buck out of it, but unfortunately too I am subjected to my share of stinkeroos.

The latest was Al Pacino's "88 Minutes" last night. The title itself was deceptive, because by our estimation the film lasted at least 880 minutes, not including smoke breaks. I do generally insist, however, that we ride such lame ponies for the entire distance so as not to miss a single meaningless plot detour or lame script dialog line.

All ideology aside, just based on the merits, what's the worst film you've seen lately? Or ever? I'm compiling quite a list, and recommending them to close friends and family.

I watch a lot of streaming video from NetFlix, using my computer, PS3 and WII.

"Confederate States of America" was pretty much a dud. It's a "What if the South Had Won" fictional documentary. A cute idea but it didn't do anything for me.

I thought The Mummy was garbage. Ditto for Dexter, the TV series. The Messenger, that movie about Joan of Arc, made me walk out of the movie theater halfway through the film. Terrible!
