Gaydar- Is It Real?

UCLA studies suggest that people can identify someone's sexual orientation based on visual clues with some accuracy, even though they have no personal knowledge of the subject.

Do you believe in Gaydar?

I believe that some homosexuals go to great lengths to advertise the fact. Men with a lisp or other flaming behaviors (watch Nate Marshall on American Idol, for example). Women with the classic dyke look. Etc. No "gaydar" is required to make a very educated guess when encountering such people.

On the other hand, I'm sure that plenty and maybe even most gay people just look like regular folks, until you have a chance to witness them having a sexual encounter with another person of their favorite gender.

I find it interesting that gay people can look like "regular folks". What, exactly, do "regular folks" look like?

Are homosexuals the only ones who advertise their preference? I've seen quite a few straight men go to great lengths to advertise that they're looking for women. And a lot of women obviously advertising to attract guys.

In the end, isn't everyone "advertising" to find a partner?

What about the metrosexuals? They get people confused about their orientations.

Metrosexuals are urban myths. There's a big difference between having a style that is advertising your sexuality and just dressing well and taking care of your skin.
