Red Green Appears Here Saturday

Growing up in a household permeated with Canadian culture, wry wit is my glass of Molsons. Red Green delivers it by the Imperial Gallon, and I'm having serious thoughts about filling up on it on Saturday night at the O'Shaugnessy Auditorium. A fundraiser for NPR, BTW. Who knew we'd need a Canadian to come and help bail out American television?

You mean radio?

Doesn't surprise me that the rest of the world has an interest in making sure the citizens of the most powerful nation on earth have some lingering, fading access to impartial journalism and, you know, facts.

Tickets: $40 donation. Proceeds benefit public television in Minnesota. Call 1-888-229-1500 or go to www.tpt.org.

My reference to NPR was in error, and that's a FACT!

Yeah, there's nothing quite like a nice tax exempt media watchdog group to make sure we play things right down the middle. Or at least George Soros thinks so, and is willing to back it with millions of his "nonpartisan" tax deductible contributions. The attacks on Fox News, who just happen to provide substantial backing to the politics of his hated rivals in the Republican ranks? Mere coincidence, my friends...

Typical Lefty tactics. If people don't like the flavor of the Kool Aide you're brewing up, don't bother changing the formula. Just burn the other guy's stand down.
